Wellness and Prevention

Physical therapy isn’t only for injuries. Empathy Physical Therapy works with people across north Atlanta who want to stay strong, mobile and active, and to catch small problems before they become big ones.

Why see a physical therapist when nothing hurts?

A physical therapist is trained to spot the small limitations that tend to turn into bigger problems: a hip that doesn’t rotate well, a weak side, balance that’s slipping, or a habit that keeps irritating an old injury. Addressing those early is usually easier than treating the injury that follows. And unlike a generic fitness plan, a wellness program from a physical therapist accounts for your history, including past surgeries.

How wellness visits work

It usually starts with a full evaluation and a personalized program. From there, visits are spaced out to fit your goals: some people check in monthly, others every few months or before a big trip or season. Each visit reviews your progress, updates your program and addresses anything new.
